Web3 game studio and publisher Moku appointed former Jump Crypto and Sky Mavis executive Kathleen Osgood as its new Chief Business Officer.

For Osgood, helping the company’s momentum grow by bringing in more institutional partners, capital, and visibility is one of her goals, emphasizing that Moku is not just introducing users to crypto, but “fully immersing” them in the web3 ecosystem.

“Moku has all the pieces to succeed… After speaking with nearly every major web3 game, it became clear that Moku’s vision stands apart. From smart game design and an AI-native gaming loop to a tongue-in-cheek IP and unmatched community-building instincts, this team deeply understands web3.”

The investment aims to empower both developers and players to act as co-publishers within a new distribution ecosystem built on the Ronin blockchain, according to the game studio.

Moku’s “Quest-to-Earn” model allows players to complete in-game tasks in exchange for digital assets, including NFTs and tokens.

The platform has hosted over 250,000 plays of its mini-game Moki Pochi and has a creator program with more than 3,000 members.
